General Troubleshooting Tips

  • Android device says "App license could not be verified with Google Play!" when starting the app. Check that your device is connected to the internet. Check that your date/time and time zone settings are accurate. If the time is different to the google play servers by too much then it will cause this error. It is recommended that you let the device synchronise its time from the Internet.

  • Power off the device completely (on Apple devices, hold the power button until it comes up with "Slide to Power Off", then use the slider to switch it off). Wait for 10 seconds or so, then power the device back up. Wait for it to completely load and then start the application.

  • Apple Devices: Verify you have the required iOS version on your device. You can check this by going into Settings->General->About and looking at the "Version" field. It must say iOS 5.0 or higher for Gem Jamboree.

  • Apple Devices: Check if iTunes suggests upgrading your iOS version. To do this, connect your device to your computer, load iTunes and select your device under the Devices section on the left. The summary screen for your device has a Version section in the middle. An [Update] button will be available if there is a newer version of iOS to install. It is recommended that you try the above tips and backup your device before upgrading your iOS version.

  • Facebook Integration in Gem Jamboree: Gem Jamboree uses "Single Sign On" technology to login to Facebook. This means if you are already logged into Facebook on your device you wont need to sign in again with Gem Jamboree. Using Logout button in Gem Jamboree will only sign the Gem Jamboree application out of Facebook, you will still be signed into Facebook on the device. If you need to change facebook user in Gem Jamboree, you will need to logout of Facebook on the device (in the Facebook app if its installed, in the web browser if the Facebook app is not installed, or possibly in the device settings if the device settings Facebook section is configured. Once you are completely signed out of Facebook on the device, if you attempt to login to Facebook in Gem Jamboree you will be prompted by Facebook for a login username and password.

  • Gem Jamboree User Profile: Gem Jamboree keeps track of your game progress via a local cache on the device, and optionally also via Facebook. If you choose not to sign into Facebook, your game progress will only exist locally on the device. If you uninstall/remove the Gem Jamboree app from the device your progresswill be lost. If you choose to sign into Facebook, your game progress is saved online which means your progress will not be lost if you uninstall/remove the application. Having an online profile also means you can change devices and continue from where you left off as when you sign into Facebook on any device, your current progress will be loaded onto that device.
